The Technosonic of Black Expressionism is an essay analyzing sonic production through the lens of an art-historical inquiry.  For the purpose of this essay, ‘technosonic’ refers to sound fabrication through technology. On the other hand, Black Expressionism (correctly understood as Black Abstract Expressionism), is an art movement of Black visual art work that deconstructs the representative qualities of social life to insert a raw emotional presence that exceeds articulation. Despite Black Expressionism being an art movement, for this essay its conceptual and thematic approaches will be applied to Black sonic production.
