SLICK DOWN (wahala.wav, sola system, and Love Higher) is a Black DJ collective aimed at providing DJs of color opportunities and spaces to connect. My role is to assist in curating DJ lineups, coordinating event production, and managing financial payouts to artists in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Our previous headliners include: DJ Travella, SCRAAATCH, and Boyz II Them. Design and develop weekly social media copy and visual assets. Produce and distribute quarterly zines and Bandcamp releases. Organize free and low-educational workshops for local community members.
